Seahorse Surprise

This film is loosely based upon the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale "The Little Mermaid". The story centers a young mermaid named Ariel who is captivated by the world above the surface.


When she falls in love with a human prince, she makes a deal with a villainous sea witch to become human herself and earn his love.

    Opalescent paint on fins. Shell is bronze and contains a real pearl. Olszewski bronze miniature Seahorses.

  • Version 1 - Opalescent paint highlighting the edges and end of fin.
  • Version 2 - Opalescent paint covering the complete fin.
  • First grouping from the "Under the Sea" sequence were released in Fall 1997. The grouping consisted of Ariel, Flounder, Blackfish, Turtle and Opening Title. Second grouping was released in Spring 1998. This grouping consisted of Sebastian, Fluke, Newt and Snails.
